Hi, I am Tanaya Vaidya and I am a Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist and a Healer. I am an experienced Psychologist with the background in child, adolescent, adult, group & family therapy & counselling.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens. 

Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. 

When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.

One day, while arguing with my partner on the phone, I fell down on the floor, angry, anxious, crying my heart out, wanting to break things & hurt myself! that is when I realised I need help. Tanaya suggested me few meditation techniques, healthy ways to deal with an argument, self-love, acceptance of vulnerability, letting out emotions. I feel so much stronger and confident today. I cannot thank Tanaya enough. I would recommend her counselling service to all those needing time and space to talk things through when life has become difficult.
Before meeting her I had been to few therapists but never was able to express myself so clearly to any of them as I could do with Tanaya. She has a very professional way of counseling, listens carefully and suggests very simple yet effective ways of accepting oneself. Thank you Tanaya for helping me out of the dark times and showing the light again.
